General Board Rules and Guidelines

Note: Please read these rules before posting anything on our board. Remember that these rules are to be strictly followed.

Players who will choose to do otherwise will face consequences for their actions. The penalties include:
  • Warning - A public announcement will be made mentioning the name of the player and stating that a rule has been broken by that player. Admins will determine whether the player was aware of the wrongness of the action he or she has committed and whether a warning is necessary. If the Admins have decided to not give a warning, the penalty automatically skips to the next one on the list.
  • Temporary Ban - This is when the player will not be able to view the board for a certain period of time.
  • Permanent Ban - The player can never be a member of the forum again.

The following is the list of rules that each member of the forum should follow:
  • No Discrimination. Nobody is allowed to insult members based on their religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, or political beliefs. This is considered worse than flaming, because it could also hurt or offend other members of the group as well. Our forum is a place where everyone is equal, therefore discrimination will NOT be tolerated!
  • No Bullying. Picking on other members are not allowed. The worst kind of bullying is when it is the new members that get picked on. This hurts or offends the bullied member as well as the forum as a whole.
  • No Flaming. Flaming destroys the nice and friendly atmosphere we have in our forum. It also causes posts to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the member being flamed. The victims may defend themselves against any accusation made of them, but may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (because such action also counts as flaming).
  • No Profanity or Obscene Content. Members are not allowed to post strongly impolite or offensive (foul languages) content in the forum. This also includes malicious posts of images, videos, or links such as porn. Images/photos that intentionally showing body parts with malicious or sexual intentions of considered explicit, and is therefore not allowed to be posted in the forum. If a member that his or her post was deleted, it would only mean that an offense was made. We request that members reread, reconsider and evaluate the content before posting; or edit and delete them before the Trickster Community Management Team get to see them.
  • No Unauthorized Distribution of Real-Life Personal Information and Ownership. No member is allowed to post real-life information about other members, staff, and administrators of our group, without their knowledge or consent. This includes photos, videos, and other files that they own. If any member posts something with consent from the member concerned, the posting member should mention the other's name on the message with the phrase "courtesy of" on the posts as proper acknowledgement of ownership
  • No Real-Life Threats. Members are not allowed to post any messages that threatens other members of the group, not even the group itself. This includes threatening to leave the forum/server, rallies, and any other related threats.
  • No Illegal Activity. No player allowed to break the law using our group. This can get the group into legal trouble. Posting links of illegal sites (such as hacking websites, etc.) counts as a violation of this rule.
  • No Double Posting or Spamming. Members are not allowed to post more than once in a row of the same post/message which would result to having multiple copies of those posts. Posting multiple times in a row reduces the quality of the message board because of spamming. Double posts will be deleted. Spamming is also not allowed, and spamming automatically dismisses the post as nonsense.
  • No Posting with Improper Context. Members are only allowed to use English and their native language (in their respective non-English threads) on our board. SMS or message shortcuts are also not allowed. Members should only use concrete, properly constructed, and humanly readable words. The use of Jejemon and other Leet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet) variant are also prohibited.
  • No Shouting. Members are not allowed to post in ALL CAPS. Posts should only be constructed the way sentences should be. Polite and straight to the point.
  • No Topic Bumping. If a topic created receives no reply, the player may not post in it again. If the post was created as a call for help with something, updating it (using the "reply" option) is allowed, as long as additional information about the matter/problem is provided (but the fact that the said member really needs it to be fixed or needs to have at least something done about the matter does not count as additional information). All of this must be posted the same message post, and the posting member is not allowed to create more than one post per topic.
  • No Personal Account Impersonation- No member is allowed to impersonate or pose with a fake account of another individual without of his/her knowledge and/or consent.

The following are a set of amendments to clarify the rules for members that are fond of nitpicking:
  • Amendment 1 - There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if the member was angry at the time and wasn't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if the member was only kidding around. If you a rule was broken, it does the same damage, regardless of the reason/s for breaking it, and rule violator will be face the consequences of his or her actions all the same.
  • Amendment 2 - Staff abuse will not be tolerated. A staff member's job is to help others, not to harm them. Staff members may only use their powers exclusively for the purpose/s that such power was given to them in the first place. There is no limit on how much violators of this may be punished due to the severity of this offense as this must be stopped at all costs to protect the other members. This means that if any of the staff abuses his/her power, there is a high chance that such action will lead to a permanent ban.
  • Amendment 3 - Harassing the admins about penalties is not allowed either. The admins are only trying to do their job, and most of the time, they have to make difficult decisions. Members may post opinions on the thread that announces the penalties/consequences of not following the rules, as long as they do not flame anyone. If the thread gets out of hand, it will be closed, and members may not complain elsewhere on the board, or by other means including private messages. Members may not threaten the admins as well (or any other member for that matter).
