9.2.4

You can use AH to transfer items from one account to another via buying and selling

 + Selling

+ Stacked versus Unstacked items

+ Private Selling versus Public Selling

+ Store (Galders)

+ Store (Point)

+ Buying on private sale /Transferring item from one char to another char in a different account

+ How to stack the stackable items

+ Public Selling & Number of items you can sell

+ Length of Time Items are up for Sale

+ VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PLAYERS: Cancelling Sale & Deleting Chars

+ Public Buying [Buy (Galders) & Buy (Point)]

Selling

Selling can be either public or private.

Public selling = item can be bought by anyone

Private selling = item can only be bought by someone given access to the private sale link

Important: Stacked versus Unstacked items

[1] In AH, unstacked items are sold on a per individual unit basis.

Examples of unstacked items are equipment, drills, pets, fashion, etc.

unknown.png

Unstacked items = always show unit of 1

[2] Stacked items are sold as a total. Therefore, to sell stacked items, you must put in the exact number of unit of that item that you want to sell inside your item inventory.

Examples of stacked items are consumables such as elixirs, repair powders, GM gift certificates, boxes, boss brooms, quest items, etc.

unknown.png

Stacked items = can be stacked together and show total units in the stack

So, let’s say you have White/Green Elixir and you want to sell it using AH, and you have a total of 100, but you want to sell only 30 in AH.

Therefore login to your char in game, keep only 30 units on your char, and store the rest of it (70 units in this example) in your warehouse or your bank.

When you set price in AH (either in galders or MS points), remember to set it for the total units you are selling.

In the above example, set the total price for the whole amount of 30 units of White/Green Elixir that you want to sell.

9.2.4 Part 2

Private Selling versus Public Selling

When setting a private sale, always click in this order:

Set Price -- > Click Private -- > Sell type (either Point for MS sale or Galders).

If you didn’t click on Private first before Sell Type, your sale will automatically become public sale.

unknown.png

A player usually does private selling to transfer items from one of his chars to another char in a different account, also belonging to him.

In this case, the price is usually set very low (e.g., 1 galder).

Private selling is also used when buyer and seller already agreed on a sale for a specific amount of price (either galders or MS points).

In this case, the seller set up the private sale and send the private sale link to the buyer.

Store (Galders)

To check items you have on sale sold in galders, click on Store (Galders).

unknown.png

You can cancel your item on sale here to stop your selling.

Make sure the vending char is not deleted before you cancel your sale.

Store (Point)

To check items you have on sale sold in MS Points, click on Store (Point).

unknown.png

Here, you can also cancel your item on sale.

Again, make sure the vending char is not deleted before you cancel your sale.

9.2.4 Part 4

Buying on private sale /Transferring item from one char to another char in a different account

I have set the sale of my Golden Sword above as a private sale for 1 galder because I simply want to transfer this item to a char I have in another account.

Note: You cannot sell items to chars in the same account.

Under Store (Galders), the private sale link is shown above the image of the item:

unknown.png

[1] Right-click on this link to copy the link address.

[2] Log off from this seller account if you want to use the same browser to log in to your buyer account;

or open New Incognito Window to log in to your buyer account;

or log in to your buyer account using a different browser.

[3] Paste & Go this link on to the URL slot on top of the page of your buyer account, and the item will appear.

[4] Select the char who will buy this item and click “Buy.”

Note:

If you are doing private buying/selling with another player, always check that the item is the right one you want to buy.

Check the number of units, price amount, price type (galder or MS Point), item slot, item refine level.

unknown.png

In the example above:

Number of unit = 1 (because sword is a non-stacked item and is always sold as 1 unit)

Item is not refined yet = there is no number stated in front of the item name; if this item were refined, the refine level will be stated here, e.g., [+13] = refined to level 13 (see example of a refined item below).

unknown.png

The Golden Sword above has 5 slots = [5] at end of its name

Price of item = 1 galder

Note:

When you are setting up for selling, refine level DOES NOT SHOW on the items.

The refine level is only shown on the buying page.

So be careful to check that you are selling the right item if you have many of the same item in your item inventory.

Very important:

Always check item information before clicking on “Buy.’

This is especially important if you are doing private buying/selling with another player, not with yourself.

9.2.4 Part 5

~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

Items you bought will appear in your buyer char’s item inventory.

If you buy a stacked items from different vendors, or at different times, these items may appears in different stacks inside your item inventory.

How to stack the stackable items

Save the different stacks in your bank or warehouse in game. They will automatically stack themselves up. Then you can take them out again and put back into your item inventory as one stack.

9.2.4 Part 6

Public Selling & Number of items you can sell

For public selling, there is no link for each item.

The number of items you could put up for sale depends on the type of membership you have.

unknown.png

VIP = 25 items

Super Member = 15 items

Member = 10 items

Free User = 5 items

Note:

The number of items also counts the number of items you still have up on private sale. So if you are a Free User, and you have 2 items on private sale (not taken yet), then you can sell only 3 item in public sale.

9.2.4 Part 7

Length of Time Items are up for Sale

For public selling, your items will stay up on sale as follows:

VIP = 4 weeks

Super Member = 3 weeks

Member = 2 weeks

Free User seller = 1 week

After the allotted time, if your item is not bought, your items will revert to private selling and no one can see your items for public sale anymore.

Therefore, please use an active vendor char for your private selling. Do not simply leave them unattended because after their time is over, they will no longer be selling in public.

For private selling, your items will stay there forever, until you take it out.

9.2.4 Part 8

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PLAYERS:

Cancelling Sale & Deleting Chars

1. DO NOT DELETE YOUR CHAR THAT IS SELLING ITEMS IN AH.

If you cancelled a sale from a char that has been deleted, your cancelled sale items don’t have anywhere to go back to, and will be lost.

YOU CANNOT GET BACK ITEMS LOST FROM A CANCELLED SALE WHEN THE SELLING/VENDING CHAR HAS BEEN DELETED.

2. If you did delete a char that is selling items in AH, make sure you then buy these items using chars from other accounts of yours to avoid from losing the items caused by the deletion of your char.

3. Please be aware that in very rare occasions, items on sale in AH may not show the correct image. This could be due to browser problem or other unknown reasons.

Please believe the name of the item more than the image, because the names will be correct.

4. Always check the item information carefully. Check the price and number of units on sale carefully before making any decision to buy or sell. If you were suspicious about something or don’t feel comfortable about the sale, do not buy or sell the item.

Public Buying

You buy items sold either in galders or in MS Points.

Note: Make sure you have enough galders in your web bank to buy items in AH for galders. For Point buying, MS will be taken out out from your account as is.

To check items on public sale for galders, click on Buy (Galders).

unknown.png

You can refine your buying by searching for item by name and also by classification (click on arrow to drop down classifications at the slot showing “All”).

To check items on public sale for MS Points, click on Buy (Point).

9.2.5

You can sell using AH to get MS points even if you don’t donate

Selling items for MS Points

As shown in the Selling part above, you can get MS points in this game by selling a valuable item for MS.

This represents one way in which you can play this game without spending money but still can get MS points and buy MyShop items.

Selling galders for MS Points

You can also sell your galders for MS Points.

Click on Sell Galders:

unknown.png

I personally have never used this function, but it seems simple enough from the above.

State the amount of galders you want to sell (sell amount) and how much MS Points you want it for (Sell Price).

The maximum amount of galders you can sell depends on your membership status:

unknown.png

Free User = 40 million

Member = 100 million

Super Member = 250 million

VIP = Unlimited

9.2.6

You can buy galders using AH

If you’re too lazy to get galders for yourself in game, but you are cash-rich (have MS Points), you can buy galders from players selling their galder in AH.

Click on Buy (Galders):

unknown.png

Galders are useful for you to do other things such as refining, compounding, tempering, smelting, etc, either on website and/or in game.

There are fees (stated in galders) for you to do these things, so you do need galders to play this game.

AH records your buying/selling transactions

The record of buying and selling are kept in AH Log.

unknown.png

This is why, for buying/selling/transferring of valuable items, even if they could be traded in game, always use AH for such transactions.

This is to keep records of what you have done, with whom you did it, and when you did it.

The AH Log is kept for many years; I still can see my records till way back in 2013, although I am not sure if all 2013 transactions are still in the log. At least all transactions for one year will still be kept for up to a year.

So, for example, now that we are in 2020, you can be reasonably sure that all your 2019 transactions are still inside AH Log.

10. MILEAGE SHOP

Available to Members+ only.

unknown.png

Mileage Shop was originally envisioned as an incentive and reward for players who donated to the server by giving them the opportunity to get something extra when they donate. This was why this function was made available only to web members.

Nowadays, Mileage Shop is just another way to make useful items such as MyShop consumables available to players more easily in this server.

Mileage Shop sells Mileage Boxes.

To buy the boxes, you need to use mileage points.

unknown.png

Mileage Boxes contain useful MyShop consumables such as elixirs, Artisan’s Flame, Nate’s Bottle, Repair Powder, Gold Tempering Gem, etc.

In addition, Cat Accessory Boxes 30 / 70 / 140 / 190 are rare items contained inside these Mileage Boxes as well:

Mileage Box 30 contains Cat Accessory Box 30

Mileage Box 70 contains Cat Accessory Box 70

Mileage Box 140 contains Cat Accessory Box 140

Mileage Box 190 contains Cat Accessory Box 190

11. ITEM COMPOUND

Available to Members+ only.

unknown.png

This function is to comp equipment, just like in-game comps with Nate.

unknown.png

The difference is that on website, the elixirs used to aid in compounding can be of the same type.

Elixirs for increasing minimum comp:

Black Elixir

Pink Elixir

Black/Green Elixir

Elixirs for increasing maximum comp:

White Elixir

Amethyst Elixir

White/Green Elixir

White/Green Elixir Ev

In game comp (done with Nate in game), you can only pair min + max elixirs only, to increase the min – max range for your comp.

In web comp, you can pair:

Min + min = increase the min comp

Min + max = increase min – max range

Max + Max = increase the max comp

So, on website, you can pair White/Green Elixir + White/Green Elixir Ev to try to get the highest max comp range possible.

For example, on website, I’m trying to comp Black Flapping Janus Wings 130 with [JP]WT 110 stone.

Without using elixirs as aid, my comp range is as follows:

unknown.png

If I used white/Green Elixir to increase my max comp range, it will look like this:

unknown.png

The max comp range has increased from 5280 -- > 6758.

Now, let’s see I add White/Green Ev on top of White/Green Elixir, and I’ll get an even more increase in max comp range:

unknown.png

There is no guarantee that you’ll always get high comp, but the range has increased so much simply because we can stack same-type elixirs together to aid in the comp.

This is the advantage of using web comp over in game comp.

12. ITEM DECOMPOUND

Available to Members+ only.

unknown.png

This function is simply a repeat of the item de-comp from in game.

There is no special advantage to using this function on website; it’s just convenient to de-comp your item without having to log in/log off from game all the time.

You need to have Nate’s Bottle to do this function, just like when you do it in game with Nate.

13. PET COMPOUND

Available to Members+ only.

unknown.png

Pet compound on the website functions just like pet compound in game (done using Pet Trainer Shara).

unknown.png

The advantage of using pet comp on website is the same as for item comp: you can stack same-type elixirs to get higher min – max comp range.

unknown.png

To de-comp pet hardant, you use the Item Decompound function, the same one used for equipment.

But you use Shara’s Bottle to de-comp pet hardant.

14. WEB TEMPERING

Available to Members+ only.

unknown.png

In game, tempering is done with Alan.

unknown.png

In game, if you do tempering, you need to use only Chaos’s Feathers.

But if you add Gold Tempering Gem, you can increase the max range of one (1) specific stat of your choice.

Using only Chaos’s Feathers for in-game tempering:

unknown.png

Using Chaos Feathers + Gold Tempering Gem:

unknown.png

You can re-temper five times (5x) with Alan, then he will ask you reset reform count before you can re-temper the same item again.

You reset using Allen Bottle which you can buy at Item Girl in Megalopolis shop.

unknown.png

Having to reset tempering every 5x is tedious and irritating.

On the website, you MUST use both Chaos’s Feather and Gold Tempering Gem.

This results in max range of ALL stats to increase.

You don’t have to choose one specific stat like in the in-game tempering.

In addition, on web tempering, you don’t need to reset your temper every 5x.

unknown.png

Thus, the advantages of website tempering:

1. Max range for ALL stats are increased by the use of Gold Tempering Gem.

2. No reset required (so you do not need to buy Allen Bottle).

Note:

1. Tempering a comped item does NOT make you lose the comps.

2. DX DOES NOT change when tempered on website.

3. Gun AP is also missing from web temper formulae.

Please temper DX and Gun AP in game.

4. Do your DX and Gun AP tempering in game FIRST before doing web temper to improve the other stats.

If you do web temper first and get really good base stats, and then you go to Alan in game to temper your DX or Gun AP, your base stats acquired from web temper may become lost, changed by in game temper.

So always do DX and Gun AP temper in game first before doing your web temper.

The following items CANNOT be tempered:

Altiverse equipment (can be forged only, by Prof Komby in Chaos Tower)

Universal Trickster Capes

All legendary unique items

Customised Blood Set

ADVICE

Always do your tempering first before refining.

You want to get the best base stats as possible first through tempering because your subsequent refined stat will depend on your starting point for base stat which you get from tempering.

DO NOT refine before temper, because base stat you get after tempering will not go back to alter or to improve your refined stat.

15. SMELTING

Available to everyone.

Updated 2020-07-12

unknown.png

Smelting is a function to support the EXPAND SLOT function.

It is through smelting that you can possibly get Akuaregia of Nate & Special Akuaregia, items used in slot expansion.

unknown.png

Depending on the points you get when you smelt your equipment, you will get a smelting box (called grade fusion box).

You can smelt up to 5 equipment per smelting.

The higher the equipment level, the higher the point value for it.

The higher the overall points, the better the box you will get, and the better chances for you to get the akuaregias from inside the grade fusion boxes.

The grade fusion boxes you get from smelting are sent to your MyShop inventory.

Tip:

When doing smelting, take out equipment that you want to keep from your item inventory. This is to avoid you accidentally smelting those equipment.

As the warning says: Equipment dissolved in smelting will disappear and never return.

Added 2020-07-12:

Here is an old guide about smelting, posted by Nariann: http://board.playtrickster.com/index.php?/topic/6288-smelting-and-expanding-guide/#entry47515

16. EXPAND SLOT

Available to everyone.

Updated 2020-07-12

unknown.png

This function was never made available in the original eTO server.

The purpose of this function is to allow players to increase the number of compoundable slot on an equipment.

However, this is not easily done, and it is an expensive endeavour.

It is not meant to be a common activity; the ability to expand your equipment’s slot denotes that you have the tenacity and resources to undertake the difficult, frustrating, and frequently failing effort.

Slot expansion is made difficult so as not to normalise having max comp slot for everything. If everything is max comp slot, then the new normal will beg cries for more or newer features to make certain things different and special again.

Expanded comp slot is the special thing. That’s why it is difficult and expensive to do.

In short, this activity is not for everyone.

Maximum expandable slots:

All normal (including MyShop) equipment = 4 slots

Customised Blood Set = 4 slots

Altiverse equipment from Chaos Tower bosses = 4 slots

Legendary unique equipment from legendary bosses = 5 slots

(including Tartarus bosses, Koiosu and True Kronos)

Warning: DO NOT expand your custom ears/tails. It is useless to do so. They cannot be compounded. What’s the use even if you have a 4-slot ear or tail?

Note: Pets cannot be expanded.

Expander items needed:

Akuaregia of Nate = used for non-legendary items

Special Akuaregia of Nate = used for legendary uniques

Super Special Akuaregia of Nate = can be used to expand both non-legendary items and legendary uniques

Patron Marks of Hephaestus = to stop destruction of equipment if expansion failed

Azoto of Luck = not necessary, but can be used to increase probability of success

Azoto of God = also not necessary, but can be used to increase probability of success, although range is lower than Azoto of God

You can get these items from web shop [see 6.3.11] or in MyShop in game (Use -- > Special).

Example:

unknown.png

1. My item is currently 3-slot.

2. If expanded, next would be 4-slot.

3. Akuaregia of Nate is put in first column (expander for normal item)

4. Success rate for expanding this item to 4-slot is 7%.

5. Warning is given to use Patron Marks of Hephaestus to stop loss of item in case of failure.

unknown.png

1. I put in Patron Marks of Hephaestus in because I don’t want to lose my item if I failed.

2. I put in Azoto of Luck to increase success rate.

3. My success rate goes from 7% -- > 8%.

unknown.png

1. I change to using Azoto of God instead.

2. Now my success rate increases to 9%.

unknown.png

I click on “Expand Slot” button, and this box pops up, given warning again about Patron Marks of Hephaestus, and prompting whether con confirm action or not.

unknown.png

I click on “Confirm” and boom!

I failed!

But good news, I still have my equipment undestroyed.

Well, my good friends and fellow players, good luck with your expansion!
