Attention: Tricksters,

It has come to our attention during this past week that several players have been selling Myshop points for real world currency. Selling Myshop points for real world money is prohibited on our server. Meaning it is a bannable offense, because we are a game, and not a platform for players to conduct online business.
We are not ebay or some such platforms where you sell products. This server is not to be used as a means for players to make a profit.

We would liked to ask players to please refrain from doing such actions in the future. If you do see a player selling Myshop points for real world currency please report it.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation in these matters.

This also applies to items. I have had people offer me 100's of $$ through paypal for in game items of mine and I always say can you please check the rules on forums. it is against the game policy to do such things.

I do have a suggestion, but it may not be well looked by everyone.

In the event that it is impossible for the GMs to completely prevent the actions of selling items for real world currency, why not police it?

What I mean is, regulate the sales via auction house or something. The GMs can tax the items being sold as well, let's say, a 5%?

This idea may sound absurd, but I think it's worth giving it a shot.

1) The taxes can be used to support the server costs.

2) It may motivate players to be more active in this game

3) It may entice more players to join.

One of the disadvantages though is that the game may become more pay to win.

Note : I don't encourage this kind of activity now as it is bannable, but i think this suggestion is feasible.. Once again, I may be wrong!

Cheerrs and happy gaming ^_^

Encouraging this wouldn't be a solution at all. People will do it through other means not auction house related and bypass that tax thats just how people are and part of why it is a problem is it isn't helping the server if anything it is taking money away from the server. Instead of purchasing MS points through donations they are giving their money to a different person and potentially getting scammed in the process.
