Magic Box B Complete Guide

Question: Should I open my Magic Box B or trade it in for brooms and sell the keys you ask?

 

Hi guys, I was curious again so I decided to do a little experiment. This time, my experiment involves opening ~700 Magic Box B's, see its contents, and compare the values of those items to if you never opened the boxes at all. Hope you stay for the whole ride! Here it is.

 

Here are the distribution of items!

                               Averages:     10k MS ~769.23MS per box           7,500MS ~ 576.92MS per box

                          

Well, what do these averages mean? To calculate how much value you will get from your Magic Box B's once you open them, simply multiply the number of boxes you have by ~769.23ms for the regular MyShop value or ~576.92ms for the economy/auction house value.

 

 

However, this only applies if you value every item on that list. If you only care for the Gold Tempering Gem, Nate's Bottle, White Elixir, White/Green EV, and the Bath Towel head like I do, here are the stats for those. Those items compose only ~37% of all the boxes that you open.

 

Therefore,

37% of 769.23ms = 284.61ms per Magic Box B

37% of 576.92ms = 213.46ms per Magic Box B

 

Again if you value every item, then:

100% of 769.23ms = 769.23ms per Magic Box B

100% of 576.92ms = 576.92ms per Magic Box B

 

But Azino, I used up a lot of keys and brooms that I could have sold for galders/MyShop. Well, here are the stats for those, I gotchu remember?! If you get on average 576.92ms per box that you open, then say:

If you opened 100 boxes = 57,692 MS if you can sell every item, which you probably won't.

Realistically, you can sell the 37% that I mentioned more easily so,

If you opened 100 boxes = 21,346 MS

 

So if you traded those Boxes for Brooms and sold the keys, you just need to subtract the difference.

Ordinary Keys EV are 200ms each in MyShop or about 100 MS in the Auction House. ~10k MS

Witch Brooms are about 1-1.5mil galders each. So 100mil/5mil (MS Rate) ~ 20k MS

 

If you value every item, 57,692 MS - 30k = 27,692MS that you just earned from the boxes.

If you only value the 37%, 21,346 MS - 30k = -8,654 MS that you lost from opening the boxes.

thanks for your statistics (i will use your stats and economic value)

lets assume i only care about tempering gem, w/g ev and nate. converting 65 white elixirs to 13 w/g through npc exchange, the others are neglected

i get (68+68+58+13)x800= 165600ms <- lowest possible value Note: a lot of effort to open 700 boxes xD

 

Method: assume instead of opening, i convert them to broom and sell them for 1mil galders each in the future charging at the galder ms exchange rate of 5000galder/ms and taking into account of 700 unused keys which i will be selling at 100ms each

700 boxes x 1000000/ 5000 +700x100=210000<- assuming i can sell them at 1mil galder per piece of broom and 100ms per key..Note: a lot of work to find broom buyers and key buyers and much store afking and going through 700 npc broom exchanges

 

Taking the difference-> 210000-165600= 44400

In other words, if you choose the this Method,  you pay this (44400ms) for the addition stuff, like pots/ star tears/ lock candy/ equips that are worth= 49625 (about 5k difference) 

By converting to brooms, yes you will gain more in terms of value, but note that i am assuming i can sell brooms at 1m each ( about the usual market price but now the price has fallen) and buyers will buy my galders at 5k/ms ( very nice price to attract buyers)  and all my keys at 100ms<-  and this selling part is tedious. Since the value differs by only mere 5k ms i suggest you save the trouble and open up your B boxes.  just pray that you get more nate/ gem and w/g

Hmm, regular white elixirs are worth 500MS from the store i kinda estimated the auction price to be lower. I heard you can exchange 5 whites for 3 White/Greens. If that's the case 5 white x 5 = 2500MS, and 3 White/Greens are 3000MS, Difference being, you gained 500MS.

 

Update: Well, I just checked the exchange in event garden, you need 3 whites (1500ms) to get 1 white/green (1000ms), guess we're not gaining that much after all.

They're merely a tool to get a white green. Also, white green elixirs are significantly better than just white ones because they provide a stronger boost.

3white=1wg(ev)=800

I'm only getting w/g EV not regular w/g from the boxes. Anyone experiencing with this problem too? I've open 300+ boxes so far.
