From what I can tell, the purpose of a melee fox would be to utilize the double crits as best as possible.

I honestly don't see the point of making a Melee Fox. You deliberately throw all your power away and relies on pure physical strength that suits better Power-Types o.o

Well ppl are not the same so, if you say you don't like it, there's nothing i can do about it.

Again, i appreciate your support guys :)

Don't belittle melee foxes.

In eTO and in this server, I have reached level 400 on melee foxes (I have 2 melee foxes at level 400 in Fantasia; and currently in this server, I am no.1 and I am a melee fox).

Sure, its raw physical attack is not as strong as power types, but it has advantages in WT plus fantastic defence; you don't die easily on a melee fox.

Personally, when I hear people belittling melee foxes, my opinion is, because they don't know how to play against type, so they think divergent chars must be inferior.

What's a generic melee fox build, anyways?

4141? 2242? 3142? 2143? 1144?

I kinda wanna make a melee Lion b/c I like how Lion looks.

Melee Lion/Fox:

Build - 2143 for conservatives, 3142 for normals, 4141 for hardcores.

*1144 is also viable, but it's more like a defensive DA fox and it's definitely not that great on a Lion

Stat points - Pure LK.

Compounds - DA/LK/HP/DP or AP/LK/HP/DP (depends on skill usage)

It's not really playing against type like how Aran says. It's more like thinking outside-but-pressed-right-up-against-the-box. It's not as if you're playing an AP Magic type or an MA Power type; even pure WT is a viable build for foxes.

No it's literally impossible no class uses MA deviation except for Magic-types.

I think you're taking my words too literally. But with enough patience (read: stubborness), you could build an MA Bunny (read: stat points in MA, but compounds are typically Bunny compounds).

So basically, you sacrifice everything to deal crap damage. Still not exactly a possible build, and really that's nothing but a fool's build.

Is it a good idea to keep using for example bone needles as shurikens? Or I'd lost a lot of damage this way? :< My fox eats up my throwing items / money >.< I'm a lv130+ fox btw

its actually quite possible to deal over 10M of damage with an MA bunny.

you need not sacrifice stat points for MA though, just by having an MA staff and two altiverse rings with high MA bases will be enough.

crimson staff with fire comps are the most preferred choice, you switch to staff only when you're gonna use flaming punch.

4141 AP bunny works best for this role, you do need LK to make FF hit.

bone-needles are the most efficient throwing items in terms of cost, capacity and damage output.

the higher AP of other throwing items hardly adds any damage.

For throwing items, if you use high base damage ones, Perfect Pitch greatly increases your damage. The weight is not worth it though. If you don't plan on using your current level throwing items, don't master Perfect Pitch.

Hi everyone, sorry for the very very very late answers; i stopped playing Trickster for a while and i don't know if you are still interested on the subjects but, i'll answer them anyways.

Does anyone know if Compound Master should ever be purchased and at what tm level if so?

I do not recommend to do so, Compound Master is one of the useless/bugged skills, use your points on anything else.

That's a really cool guide, but poison assault's skill quest is really hard  :(

But totally worth it, you should get asap!

Well, if you are short on money it's a very good idea to use bone needles because it will reduce a lot your outlay and let you carry more shurikens. On the other hand you should perform some damage tests when entering a new area or fighting new monsters to see if the damage you gain from mounting stronger shurikens will reduce the amount of skills you need to use in order to kill a monster.

Thrown item prices are still not 1g each, so it's arduously expensive after a while to train a DA fox WITHOUT afk-drilling eternally.

I love this guide and this made me be sure of the DA fox build :P but just one thing i would like to know about...:

Pouch of Pain & Poison Pouch

is those skills usable if you play a DA fox and not pure WT... I kinda like the idea of carrying one hell of a lot of items and then being able to deal crazy damage based on that and on top of that poison the enemy xD but i dunno if just getting Poison Assault itself is a better choise...

of course I'm far away from those choises as i just made my fox, and i have so many chars that i wont get there during the next month as i like to switch between chars... but I'd just like to know it till when the time comes :P
