Launching of a new English Private Server which include Paula, the polar bear char

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hi Playtricksters!

 

We are approaching our 7^th anniversary this month, on August 15^th 2020 to be exact.

Hooray!   

It seems like only yesterday that we started and in a blink, it’s already seven years!

We are here because of our love for the game.

And we will continue to be here for the players who love the game and continue to play it.

Thus, in this anniversary month, we will be releasing a whole new trickster service.

 

There's a super cute girl who is a polar bear and her name is Paula!

She is coming to the game and we are very excited to bring her to you.

In this endeavour, we are collaborating with a new partner, CAKE Studio.

Let's welcome the new member to the teamwork

I am so freaking excited for that!  I remember when I fist joined trickster in the american server (eTO) and it was revolution season. 

This game is part of my life for so long that I do not even know how to express what I am feeling now for finally being able to play with this new character! <3

Wow this is insane lol. Really hyped to play this - this has been a long time coming. What can we expect to see in this new server, outside of Paula - new content perhaps?

Couple of questions:

 

1. does this mean we are unlikely to get paula on this server? at least in the foreseeable future?

 

2. what's the dynamic/goal here exactly? Sounds like the existing rTO team is partnering with Cake to release a cakeTO completely independent from existing rTO, or maybe i'm reading it wrong?

 

Are rTO metrics stagnating? This feels like a "reset" to some degree, and paula is the incentive for people to abandon everything accumulated in the past 7 years.

 

It feels very conflicting, because i don't see how this is a "good" thing for existing rTO players. Ultimately it will just end up dividing the playerbase, i can't imagine anyone wants to maintain 2x p2w + extremely time consuming games at the same time.

I will reply a few of your questions here. I am not saying it officially since I do not have all the informations.

 

• When we first had Paula files we actually tried to add it to RTO. It was not possible. So we tried a second option: A new server and migrate all the characters / accounts to it. It was not possible too. Unfortunately we can not add Paula (The new character as known as Polar) to RTO and also a few other functions like the new Guild System. I am not sure what was the problem and why we couldn't solve it exactly because I don't understand anything about codes and files. As far as I remember those new files could not work together with RTO files, reason why we couldn't add them to the game without crashing it.
• Paula inside RTO? It is impossible. Unfortunately. The only option we have here is: Give players the opportunity to choose whatever they feel like. We are not closing RTO. You can be sure of that. But if we do not start a new server Paula will not be a reality for us and we know many of you guys are excited for it for so long. We will keep both servers. You have the choice here. 
• As I have mentioned migration is not an option. At least I think it is not an option. This information will be given eventually but I wouldn't keep it in my mind. The chances are extremely low. It is a completly different server. New launcher, new accounts, new characters also new webite probably.
• I understand everyone is worried about the player base division. Again: RTO is not closing. It is just an opportunity to try something new. I am playing RTO for 7 years straight and I am not leaving it now. But I have to admit that I want to play with Paula. I have never done it before. Aren't you guys curious about her?
• I do not have more informations to give you guys about the new server. At least not yet. We are thinking about a few changes to make it better. We are still talking about them. 

 

Anyway, as I said nothing written here in MY post is official. Those are my thoughts about what I have heard so far and those informations can be changed. I am just trying to provide a few informations to you guys.   

 

The staff will be providing more informations about it soon. So Let's wait for it!

in my opinion makes no sense to keep playing rTO anymore if this new server releases, because the most active player base already has super cheated items and has kronos and koiosu rings for each finger of their hands... they have reached end game and now there isn't any more stuff to do.

 

events are getting repetitive and the best way to boost new people coming to the server is actually adding new interesting content, like more cute fashion which is a huge money sink or a new character like Paula which could bring some sort of "new life" to the pvp scene.

If it's another copy of rTO that's (quite literally) more expensive to progress than the official game was, it's probably the end of the road for me. I really hope it's done right this time with a play-to-win model.

Intresting, Quite curious if we will be allow to add suggestions and what not. Theres alot of ideas im sure people have stirring around but thats if those working on it are able to make said changes. Also on a side note since theres gonna be a new server and people will be deciding rather to go or stay or be on both why not keep the exp until then so people can get their levels done or whatever they wanna do before the new server opens up.

So, that means, our rTO will not shut down! (Thank you!!!That means a lot to me!!!) but will there be monthly maintenances with events and stuff anymore or is it like an retired home for our old beloved chars who are not needed anymore? Sorry for my bad english.
