Things the staff must contemplate when changes are suggested are:

Each class comes with its own unique set of challenges if we take this away what do you have left?

There are players that feel that challenges are why they created there characters in the first place. They feel fulfillment with the challenge. We have to keep them in mind.

If we strip this away whats left? An easy character?

When changes are made we also need to think what do they affect and who do they affect? Pvp, Pve, and Bossing.

Does this change break one of these?

Will there be a balanced upset?

Will this change cause server problems?

Will players be unhappy or happy?

Are we getting to far from the original development teams intention?

Will things being to easy cause players to have it to easy and be done after a few weeks and leave?

Will this change cause error?

Will the balance in Pvp be upset?

Hello,

Just my point of view on this issue:

I do agree that every class in Trickster Online was created for a reason and purpose. As an example, Charms were meant to be tanky, Magic types were meant to be support characters with aoes, debuffs, snare/stun, and healing abilities, whilst Power types were designed to be powerful. However, I must say that it is impossible to keep the balance and stick to the old rules when the server has already introduced plenty of unoriginal items such as JP/TH and god knows what equips and items.

These items caused constructive disruptions to the server, as can be easily seen in every Trickster server with innovative items and features such as Auction House, extreme exp gains, etc etc (list goes on as every TO server has unique features of their own to differentiate themselves). Equips became very strong, and monsters became a lot weaker (relatively). Galder became easy to make, together with the feature of allowing galders to be traded for Myshop points, Myshop points became relatively easy to make, and hence buying items off Myshop became an easy task. With all that being said, I love this feature, and I'm sure everybody does. But the point I'm trying to convey here is that this is a constructive disruption to the original economy as designed by Ntreev, and hence, you cannot keep following the ideology introduced by the original server.

That aside, even the original company did make changes and constantly introduce fresh contents, with the obvious one being Trickster Online Season 2. Understanding that creating new maps, new quests and new npcs are kinda out of the question, introducing changes to skills/equips/classes might just become the one thing that keeps players engaged. And... keeping them engaged and at the same time advertising the game a little (maybe even pay for ads on facebook)... might revive the game.

IF you're worried about players being unhappy, for the mods who don't even log into the game as much as players do, I can tell you that there aren't many players left to be left unhappy. Will the balance in pvp be upset? check pvp everyday, you'll realise it's currently too balanced.. it's empty. (people announce server wide using TBNs to hopefully find a partner to spar with...). Who do they affect and how do they affect? Power types can already one or two hit lvl 999 bosses with millions upon millions of HP... what else can the introduction of a slight modification to the skills of UNPOPULAR chars like lions or kitties do? Worried about foxes asking for buff? then give them the buff.... what do restaurants do when you order food? they give you food. What does Samsung do when customers demand a better camera phone? they make new phones with better cameras. Maybe the changes only produce a short term satisfaction and the operators of this game might worry they're going to leave after they finished their short-term satisfaction, I should tell you that people have already left. A lot of them. Really. Give the people who pay you what they want, they continue to pay you. You can't give them what they want, they pay somebody else.

In terms of the modifications causing error, I have no comment. If it works, great, if it doesn't....        ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not siding anyone posting this, I simply want the game to go on! FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR cuz it's my childhood, it's my stress reliever, and I love it  ^_^

R-r-r-regards,

WB~

Interesting points here, though the analogies you presented between this server, a restaurant and Samsung, imply that you feel as though this server is a business. It makes sense and I can certainly see why you think so, though right now I'm indifferent. I'd like to think the mods and Wan upkeep this server for the fun of the players, but of course, you have to be slightly sceptical when they bring out boss skins which are 15k each when they could be half the price IMO, but i'm sure they have their reasons. I think a problem with the Mod team simply giving in to the demands of the 'people who pay [them]' as you suggested is that then they'd be called out for doing so, which would be awful and I certainly wouldn't want to be playing on a server where if I spend $100 a month then my suggestions are more valid than someone who is free to play. So I would side with the Admin team on this one as I assume this is the argument they would make against to what you suggested. Conversely, it is undeniable that there are probably a dedicated group of about 40 people playing this server daily, which is very small and this server needs to generate money in order to pay for the server costs. Even writing that number, 40,  feels a bit generous because every time I log in, it's the same people I see and most of them are AFK in mega or most of them are alts of a single player (I have a certain guild leader in mind). So I agree with you, if introducing some changes and making the classes feel fresh again would invite some old/bored players to come back, then I don't see why not. It would also generate some more income for the server and seems as though it's possible, as long as it fits the criteria provided by Mizzo. This, of course, isn't to say that they haven't already done this (as we've seen from the changes they've made to skills in the last two patches) and they really helped me and made me come back after a hiatus as now I can use gravity crush to farm on my Dark Lord thanks to the CD only being 5 seconds. I guess the point of this post wasn't to refute what you were saying, but rather be careful with wishing for a system in which donators have priority over f2p players, as you'll end up with a tyranny of a rich minority.

How do you know if mods play or not?

I am online EVERY single day, but you can not see me. I am already lv 400 in my MOD char, so I have nothing else to do with him. I am playing with different characters. You can not afirm what you're not sure of. We are a team of mods, how do you imagine we are aware of stuffs before players report? I have 32 characters, how would you know if I am online of not? We're mods in only one character not all of them.

I know I'm going to sound rude even when its not my intention but don't do the event if u dont want and spend your time doing whatever u prefer to be doing LOL its choices, no one is forcing u to anything specially if you dont want to  :)

Seriously what a good advice I'm shook that you're still a mod

You're literally telling us that if we can't waste an entire day to hunt 10 cards daily in order to get our event rewards, we shouldn't play at all

Hello.

To say I am not active when I work at least 50 hours on the server each week and I login with the minim of 2 hours a day is asinine. I don't keep up a schedule for everyone to know nor is it your personal business to no my life nor are u close to any of us to know when we are online. I also don't login to Mizzo every time I do something. Like Hero, I have 8 400s and over 24 accounts with full characters. I got all classes to 400 to better understand each class, have you? If I am on an alt it's because I am focusing on work and do not want to be disturbed. You can also find me hiding in odd locations trying to get things done. There is a forum for bug reports and help. If I am visible in-game I am non stop helping players with Issues and things do not get done. Because I put the players needs first.

Just yesterday I spent over 10 hours doing mod work and didn't go to bed till 6 am and the day before 6 and on patch days I don't normally sleep at all. I guess to you I am not active. I am Sorry I sometimes need to sleep or do work in real life. <_<

I also sometimes need breaks like Fang stated. It becomes hard to want to play when all you do is work and deal with ungrateful players. Thus to feel free i will login to alts only me and those I trust know to let loose.

Also this game isn't a company please don't compare it to one. We the moderators and admin do not get paid for what we do. It's volunteer work. The server and other private severs could be taken down at any minute from the original owning mother company. We cannot advertise since we don't own the rights. If word gets out we are advertising we will be taken down. Since we are small  and don't break any regulations we do not have this issue. Do remember private servers are all illegal.

When players buy swag and items they are paying for there own gaming experience. We do not force players to purchase items or to donate. If an item seems to be high in ms it is because the original staff had set the standards way before any of the current staff was in the position including Aran. To keep everything consistent we kept the prices and foundation of our predecessors. Our server also has functions where players could make money rather than donating. Players can choose how they want to play.  Or what they want to spend on. Those skins mentioned above. You simply do not need to buy if they don't have value  to you. Believe it or not someone else did purchase them.

The original server didn't take the suggestions of the community into consideration when they did things. We on the other hand do. This player base is very privileged they are allowed to have voices. In the original game you wouldn't have the ability to even talk to a moderator but here we are. Nor does our server have a development team of 30 people like the original would have. We have 1 coder. To the staff this is a hobby not a job. We can stop at anytime. We don't need or have to do anything. But, we do so cause we love this game.

Our actions do not need to be agreed with nor are we seeking common grounds with the community. We are simply doing our best with what we are given  in hopes for the future. Our only hope some players are thankful for the time and efforts we put forth. We were the first private server for Trickster to bear fruit and are the most advanced English server.

But  for sure we the staff do love and care for this game and server.

Sincerely,

-Mizzo

Hiroto a bit blunt so I get that you're triggered but you will get nothing acting like a child throwing a tantrum. This is a group of people doing favors for each other. How do you get someone who is doing a favor for you to continue doing favors? All I'm saying is you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Adra's comment was a good example of how you get the mod team to listen.

Don’t worry untouchable, We added a new info in the event 2 days ago. Right now we were just testing the rate, it is probably going to be changed next week.

I get your "point" but how telling someone to not participate in an event is doing us a favor? It was really rude and it wasn't the first time he acts like that.

He is a mod, he was supposed to be supportive to the community.

[a] Please change cooldown from 8 seconds -- > 3 seconds for all levels, including master level.

[b] Please change the cooldown information inside the card:

Sharp Scream (Lv.1) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.2) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.3) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.4) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.5) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.6) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.7) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.8) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.9) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv.10) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Sharp Scream (Lv. Mastered) = Cooldown: 8.00 Seconds -> 3.00 Seconds

Reason:
- Siren Song CAN NOT be used while in Evolution
- Sharp Scream is the ONLY AoE skill while in Evolution
- Primadonna primarily uses AP, Siren Song won't benefit them

If a player wants to play while in Evolution, this gives them the freedom to do so

Thank you for your consideration.

It's pretty jarring when a person who constantly says "the server is dying" every single month suggests to make something easier.
Plus, there's not enough players suggesting for the change, more people need to say it if they all want the change to happen.

One or two of them should know who they are if they got struck a nerve for being fit right in the description I wrote.

Oh and are you sure it's me derailing the focus? I believe it's you who are losing your marbles. You forgot what you were even talking about and assumed it was yourself. Maybe that's your conscious that's trying to tell you something.

Girl? Seems like you freaked out for no reason. Why are you putting so much effort to defend a rude mode at first place? We're here to make things easier.

This event should be fair to everyone since it gives low level equipments, no reason to be that hard.

This whole thread is prime example of the community that is left.

There's the upset players who have their own visions on how the game should be run.

There's the argumentative players who will never be satisfied.

There's the sworn grudges that will never be redeemed.

There's the unprofessional environment the staff is providing.

There's the lack of respect given by players TO the staff, as well as each other.

Everyone needs to relearn how to respect each other, how to respect yourselves, and how to give customer service (that INCLUDES how customers serve those who are providing, FYI). If we keep ripping at each other's throats like this, there won't be any Trickster left to return to, and I've been saying that for ages.

I'm not a model player, granted, being as reactionary as I am, but that doesn't mean I don't have the right idea about things needing to change for our childhood game to stay alive, and that means we all have to be part of the solution instead of remaining the problem.

I never really post, but there's something off when you cant even mildly criticise a mod without having people jump to their defense like reddit whiteknights. Staff should always be held accountable by the player base, because the player base are the players keeping the game even remotely alive by playing the game. They're the target of the services the staff provide. It's worrying to have people imply you have to talk to mods a certain way to even be heard, and obviously you shouldnt shit on them but jesus christ players are not the authority figures and player frustration shouldnt be held to the same standard as rude/inconsiderate staff. At least thats my opinion. :^)

I am not taking anymore suggestions for next item list via this patch note. I am closing this patch note. There are players who want to suggest things but are afraid of the hostility shown by posters in this patch note. To those people, feel free to send your suggestions directly to me or to any of the mods. Make sure you include as complete information as possible when you do so, as is normally required. Thank you.
