I, and a couple other people, gave you the answers you were asking for, and you instead decided to sit and complain. So really, you have no ground to stand on.

Was I sarcastic? Yes. I wasn't rude until they decided to continuously throw a mini-tantrum after platantly saying "probability has nothing to do with tempering", when that is quite literally what RNG is.

 

I explained roughly how it works, and they decided to instead keep crying about it rather than buckle down with the fact that luck is an actual factor in 80% of trickster's features.

It's no tantrum, stop assuming everyones complaining and actually take some of these concerns seriously. You could easily do it without the rude sarcasm. Point blank: You are rude.. And you could've just stated that with percentage without the sarcasm.

Don't dare us. I will do it (delete web tempering) if players are unhappy about it. GM has wanted to delete this function before because it is buggy but I was the one who said to him to leave it there as is because players at that time said they still want the function there even if it were buggy. Those who are not happy about web tempering should do their tempering in game instead. I am still open to deleting this function. If anything were to go be deleted from web functions, this would be the first to go.

Honestly speaking, go ahead. If it's that buggy then it's better to remove it than to keep it up as a buggy mess imo (just like web refine). The less things that break, the less complaints there will be, for an overall more positive experience. I guess this thread can act as a gauge to see how discontent the players are with the current Member only web temper system that OP claims to be skewed in a different direction.  Maybe set up a poll since this is pretty important?

I think sometimes people are forgetting that most of the extra functions that we have now are privileges. They're benefits. They're not something we're entitled to but were actually given to us. We're not buying anything from them, we're donating to the server to keep it alive. Donating in essence is giving someone something without payment or expecting anything in return. The management isn't obliged to make a poll or anything about it, they can just remove it if they want to.

 

This thread is in no way an accurate gauge to the whole player base so you can't use it as basis for anything. This thread is composed of a handful of people compared to the hundreds of players in the server. Don't speak for us, especially when you're daring the management to remove the function as a whole.

 

Tempering has always been this way. It's random. I got a Powerful Staff to max MA with just one try last week and then tried tempering two different staves a few days later and have used up about 15+ gems and still no good stats. It's all random. 

 

In any game, there will always be people who complain and those who will never be satisfied. The best thing other people can do is to remain positive, regardless of other people's actions.

I didn't wanna say anything but you need to stop being such a suck up, You taunted Aran and Impy and got a response you didn't like and now you wanna act "innocent" again.

 

As for people who are semi-arguing on this thread, You need to understand there's a difference between being dissatisfied and being "entitled and "whiny", All shelp was asking was if tempering got changed, Not for them to make tempering 100% all the time.

You're right, extra things like web compound and web temper are a privilege. I'm not speaking for you, or anyone else on this server, there are clearly differing opinions on the web temper system here, and an official poll would allow us to see what exactly people think about the system. I didn't mean just a poll on this thread, I meant an actual poll that all the players in-game are notified about, purely to better understand the player stance on web tempering. Just for the knowledge, not for the implementation of any future changes. This might prove to be an impossible task, but that's why I was just asking, of course I know the staff can do whatever they want since this is their server, player input is purely an influencing factor, nothing more. As for daring the staff to remove it, did you really think I thought Imperious would actually remove it due to one person's bad luck with the web temper system? I actually found his stance on the subject in this thread a little serious, and decided to put him up to it, in a lighthearted manner, no offense intended. If it was taken in the wrong way, then that was clearly not my intention.

 

We all know how the Web Refine had its issues and some players found ways to exploit it, leading to it being fixed and removed altogether. While to my limited knowledge and experience Web Tempering doesn't have people actively breaking it or critical issues, if it is as aran says, having multiple bugs, and enough players think it should be changed, why not? With my original intent, I did not expect aran to come out with the information that the GM actually wanted to remove the function in its entirety since it has many bugs. Now given that information, I don't want it to turn into a Web Refine 2.0. I'm actually fully satisfied with what we have at the moment, but if it can prevent future problems down the line, I'm all for it.

Rather than being a suck-up, I realize that taking two steps back is the correct approach to prevent everything from spiraling into an even more chaotic mess, given the current state of the thread. Of course, I could continue this and retort to your insult with a similar one, but that would just be the start of a flame war which has no real purpose. Now my posts may have been taken a lot more seriously than I had intended, but that may have been the result of me misinterpreting the very serious tone of the thread, clearly my mistake.

 

The way I see it, the posts in this thread are more of player conversation, "opinions", and venting, given that it's a thread under General Discussion, rather than a post under the patch notes or in the Support section. I don't take credit in escalating this situation in the first place, but now that is so, taking a step back and a deep breath to de-escalate it would surely do us all some good.

I do not say that they are not right, but if they have a privileged right to donate to the server, since  I dont there are many players that we can not have that privilege, either of not having the money or in my case that is not AVAILABLE FOR MY COUNTRY , IF I DO NOT HAVE PAYPAL !! 

 

 Opinion!  if they do a survey and ask everyone if they agree or not or with the tempering and other things, why not look for that in the game, Why not look for the way that in the game we can also do something and not the whole  on the web....

Web Refine has been removed way back in 2014, there's no point of bringing it up because it's different, if the bugs with web refine and web tempering are the same well then they should have been removed together, but no they weren't so....

You can buy mileage with galders. You can get mileage from recycling "myshop" items on the site. We have several sets that are extremely easy to get that can be recycled for mileage, and we have several events that give super easy-to-get items that can be recycled for mileage.

The refine system is a little worst than before, I try many days in this month and before I'm usually very luck, and it's not only me.

it's very difficult to get any good stats, which was very easy, is not the only way to receive donations to the server, this never mess before and is not now it Will make diference.

Nobody has all day to play only trying to refine, and drops cfs, it make the game boring ... and try more than 100 times, I've heard a lot of complaints of many players.

I'm sure the intentions are the best and it does not cost anyone to review this please. thanks

Firstly, thank you for your concerns. Many of you are suggesting that the web functions may have changed in the past recent months, but I can assure you nothing has changed. Its the same as it was before. Just like many of you I have my good days and bad days when using these functions, including recently I used 150+ tempering gems and never got the rolls I desired. That's just the luck of the draw, it was never intended to give players great stats every time  and the results can be bad regardless of the amount you use it's just a chance for a better roll than what you can get in-game. I bet there are many players that get great results using the web functions, but that's just it we hardly/never receive news about the good results. Players only ever come forward when people get bad results.

 

Secondly, for the players who lack mileage there are several ways to obtain mileage other than donating if your not willing to work a little for it then sadly you will just do with out.

1. You can purchase mileage from other players- Be cautious of scams there is no current way to track mileage.

2. You can recycle event items. If you aren't aware the recycle function on the auction house does not require membership and can be used by the whole player base.

3. You can recycle many carved wooden box items.

4. You can recycle fiesta drills.
