All the suggestions are very much appreciated. We try to make the suggestions happen as much as we could but our resources are limited, and the most limited of all is time. Every month, because of full-time real life work commitment, I have just enough time for maintenance matters (patch note is my go-to place for monthly suggestions). This is why I pick only suggestions that are specific with details, that I can explain with clarity to GM.
If you said, for example, Card Girl's dialogues need to change, but you don't list the relevant Card Girls and their respective locations (even if you crafted the specific dialogues) - this would require I go look at all the Card Girls in the game. Things like this, it sounds simple, but under constraint of time, I will leave it out first to do simpler tasks - and then eventually this would fall out of my radar.
You can suggest monthly improvement (like how Hovado is doing with Tartarus - which I consider as an ongoing improvement project); pick a specific thing to improve; give enough details and clear instruction; include screenshots for visual clarity. Then do the same for something else next month.
Simplicity and clarity is very much appreciated. The clearer you are, with as little words as possible, the better.
Other than time, I am operating under a communication handicap as well. English is not my first language. So, like Grug in The Croods says, "Big words anger me." Well, not angering me per se, just maybe make things difficult to understand. If I don't understand something, I can't explain it to GM. If I can't explain it to GM, it can't get done. And mind you, that is another big hurdle. GM's English is worse than mine. So everything that goes from me to him need to be stated in the maximum amount of clarity in the minimum amount of words. With that in mind, you need to feed me with very clear suggestions with the minimum amount of instruction that you can muster as well.
(Contrary to what I am requesting above, my explanatory posts tend to be long, I know. Please bear with me.)
I believe that this server has received and entertained so much more requests/suggestions from players than eTO ever did. This server, for me, is a labour of love. It has a small, niche player base, but a stubborn one that is seemingly very engaged with the game. People may go away from time to time, and then come back. Some do go away for good maybe; perhaps their lives have taken them into other spaces and other concerns. We do have a number of bad apples (the hackers, the botters, the scammers, the not-nice players) but these are the minority and I hope eventually they would become extinct as they grow to grasp the server's culture and understand how much we want to protect its integrity and atmosphere of respect for each other.
Thank you.
