I love the red dress for witch but it seems like Soul Master is stronger? I'm still new to the game so what exactly is the difference between Soul Master and Witch? Cause I want to kill stuff pretty fast but I want to not die really fast too

Hello and welcome~

I'll give you a brief overview on SM and Witch, but you would probably be able to find more in-depth info in guide section on the forums. So the difference between SM and Witch is that SM is "pure sheep" and Witch is "hybrid". I don't know if you know it yet, but there are 3 jobs a.k.a skill tiers in the game. 1st job is the basic job for every class, and both male and female characters have the same 1st job skills. After you reach second job, male and female skills starts to differ. Yes, gender matters in this game. As for magic class, sheep characters are elementalists, able to control 2 out of 5 possible elements (water/wind/earth/fire/lightning) and as for dragons, they can choose between light and dark elements. This is for the second job. When you reach 3rd job, you get the option to choose your further path by either becoming "pure" or "hybrid" character. Again, when talking about magic class, pure sheeps are the ones who chose to further empower their elemental abilities and hybrid sheep gets the ability to learn 2nd job dragon skills. So you then have both 2 out of 5 elements AND either light or dark skills. You have 5 possible combos when picking your 2nd job sheep elements, so you should really dig for some info and choose those that reflect your gameplay preferences the best (do you want to be strong in 1v1, do you want to be AoE specialist, do you want to have some DoT skills etc. etc.). Dark skills are strong single target skills (the offensive element) and light is more of a supporting element, it has some nice healing skills, buffs, debuff cleanse, shields and a mix of weaker 1v1 and a few stronger AoE damaging spells. To put it short, if your equipment is at least half-decent, you will probably never die as a light mage and that is (usually) the main reason why people choose to go with light hybrid sheep aka light witch. SMs, on the other had, gets some buffs/debuffs that boost their damage outcome by giving them more attributes or reducing the resistances of the enemy and a few stronger damaging spells for their corresponding elements. If you are really new to the game, I would recommend you going for light witch. It is very beginner friendly and is also a lot of fun to play. You don't need OP gear to still be relevant in PvE, you have a lot of freedom when choosing your elements and you get access to great spells very early into the game. When you finally reach the 3rd job and get Shield of Light/Shield of Heaven (the best light skills) you will probably never ever die in PvE again. I hope I was able to help, feel free to PM me if you need any other help

Is light witch still pretty strong with damage? I did 1432 build at the start, dunno if that would be best for it or not, and can you change to dark witch later or will you have to make a new sheep?

I have a light sheep (fire/elec) and you do not have the damage potential of soul masters. Both of my soul masters deal significantly more damage, even though my light sheep is leveled more and has much better equipment.

That said, light sheep are tanks. I don't die easily so there's that?

Well, it depends on the elements you pick. Water/Lightning sheep can shred trough pretty much anything, Wind/Earth or Fire/Lightning has amazing AoE grinding potential. The build you went with was ok, it's good for newbies. And no, sadly you can not change from light to dark (well technically you can, but it would cost A LOT)
